We are hosting an Otaku Meet on November 1st, Sunday night. The party is a fun chance to meet other otakus or fans of anime, comics and games or people who share the same interest as you. It's also a great chance to make new friends and learn new stuff of the anime culture and the Japan culture. The meet is to bring together people with similar interest and just have fun and talk about anime, comics, and gaming.

Pumpkin Carving Contest !!- Oct 14, 09

* ACG-North-America is holding yet another small but fun contest for your delight. Since it is the month of October that means Halloween is right around the corner. Show off your ACG spirit this year by carving a pumpkin unique to you! Those of you who have never carved pumpkins before, well, now is a great time to start. What are you waiting for, let's show off your creativity!

*This is an ACG on DeviantArt EXCLUSIVE CONTEST.

Guidelines:
· Pumpkins can be any shape, size or design and may be decorated with anything at your disposal.
· Please post them on DeviantArt and tell us briefly about what it is and why, and put a note saying it's for ACG N.A's Pumpkin Carving Contest with a link.
· If you plan on taking more than one photo of your pumpkin, please make a photo collage. Try to limit to one post per pumpkin.
· You can carve and submit as many pumpkin entries as you please, as long as they were created this Halloween year.
· Pumpkins need not represent the mascot Anzu or other ACG properties, but that would be a nice bonus; as well as anything anime, game, or comic related.
· Feel free to work with friends and families to carve your pumpkin!
· Submission: Send a note to us that has a link to your DA post! Subject: Pumpkin Carving Contest Entry.
· Submissions are due by: Nov 2nd (Monday), Midnight EST (Toronto time, gm -5)

Criteria:
· Judging will be based on: creativity, elaborate efforts, and or aesthetic appeals.

Prizes:
· 1st place: 1 year DeviantArt Subscription
· 2nd place: 3 months DeviantArt Subscription
· 3rd place: 1 month DeviantArt Subscription

We will try to announce the winners as soon as possible.
We can't wait to see what kind of pumpkins you will all create. Have fun and spread the word!

ACG Guess that Anime Character game

Rules:

- The point of the game is to guess the anime characters from small pictures that shows part of the character.

- You have to guess who the characters are and what anime the character is from.(2 points)

- Extra points will be given if people can name the characters voice actor (Japanese or English)

- Bonus questions will be given sometimes.

- First come first serve, basically if you have the correct answer first, you win!!!

- 6 to 10 pictures will be given per round.

- You don't have to guess all the characters. Example, if you guess 3 out of the 6 pictures and another person gets the other 3 pictures. Both contestants will receive points.

- Remember, characters name must be spelled correctly and anime must be spelled correctly to get the point. Also, all answers must be in English.

- This game will happen 3 to 5 times a week…days are going to be random so check back often.

- Points will be recorded and the person with the highest point count after 3 months will receive a wonderful prize. Months are March to May. June to August. Sept to Nov and Dec to Feb.

The Anzu Illustration Contest is now over!

We want to Thank everyone that participated and those that dragged your friends alone with you on this!

We had A LOT of great entries. Our staffs are working real hard to determine the winners. With so many awesome entries it's going to be a tough task, so please do not bother the judges or any of the staffs while they are making their decisions. Results will be posted on our DeviantArt, on our Facebook group , and of course the ACG NA website [you're looking at it] and probably on the staffs' DA journals too, so it'll be pretty hard to miss the results. All decisions are final, winners will be notified for further procedures.
