School club contest winner announced!- May 04, 09
It’s been a long and tough process going through all the paper work and supporting materials submitted by all the lovely clubs but we enjoyed every second of it! All the clubs did a good job in terms of promoting anime, comic, and video game in their region and beyond. It’s a shame that there can only be one winner because there are so many awesome clubs that entered this contest! Our dear sponsor who made this contest possible: KC TOYS SHOP will do us the honor in announcing the winner! ( Click on the banner below)
Supporting a Canadian Visual-Novel production company - Apr 17, 09
Have you played any translated Japanese dating-sims lately? Yah we didn't think so. If you don't read Japanese then you're out of luck on those kinds of games… Just kidding!
Sakura River Interactive is owned and operated by Canadians targeted towards English-speaking anime fans around the world. It is a company that creates Visual Novels filled with meaningful interactivity. For too long video games plotlines have meaningless or exceedingly simplistic interaction, but at Sakura River Interactive, they strive to bring everyone interactive, accessible, complex, and meaningful stories.
Visit their website for more information and don't forget to show your support for them by voting for them at Dragons Den for a chance to pitch to the Dragons!
Do you feed on game news? Think you were born to play games? Think you know a lot about video games and the industry? Feel you never spend enough time playing video games? Dying to write your review on games or even dreamed of yourself in video games? Or know someone who has an undying passion for gaming? ACG NA has just the right position for you.

Now Featuring Cosplayers! - Mar 04 , 09
As you all know, ACG NA adores and supports cosplaying anyway we can. And today we are proud to announce we will start featuring cosplayers on our main page in addition to CGs and drawings *hurray! So we start off by featuring a popular cosplayer behindinfinity , also known as Jin.
Quoting her quoting her friend Ysabel:
"Something everyone in the cosplay community ought to remember.
At the tender age of 12, Ysabel seems to have a greater understanding of this hobby and a bigger heart than some people who are far older than she is.
"" Cosplay is for fun . It's a misunderstood hobby with a good and bad side. If everything is going good in your cosplay, keep it up just don't lose your head in its fictional world. Keep priorities like family and school in order. If things aren't great, do not be disheartened from doing what you love. As long as you are having fun, keep going!
It's a different kind of happy-high when you are among fellow cosplayers but at the end of the day, it only matters if you enjoyed yourself or not . It's not about popularity or pageviews, having fans or not, being better than others... no. It's about expressing yourself through a character you love and sharing it with others.
Hopefully, you ' ll make friendships that will last even when the costumes are faded, wigs worn out and cameras stop flashing.""
